Description

Agave americana 'Medio-picta Alba', Variegated Century Plant, is an extremely beautiful cultivar of Agave americana with a white stripe down the centre of the leaves creating a stunning rosette. It is not as hardy as the non-variegated form or even Agave americana 'Marginata' and it is best as a precaution to bring it indoors for the coldest of the winter months. It requires perfect drainage and the substrate should consist largely of grit, gravel and sharp sand to which has been added some limestone chippings and some slow-release fertiliser. In needs to be kept as dry as possible during the winter.
