Echeveria purpusorum, is an unusual and highly attractive Echeveria from southern Mexico with a perfectly symetrical rosette of stiff foliage somewhat resembling that of Agave but with an intricate pattern of whitish-green speckled markings on its olive-green leaf-surfaces and with random crimson-reddish-brown motlings and red margins. In summer it produces tall inflorescences of orange and yellow flowers with purple mottled bracts. The combination of colours is electrifying.

Perfect indoors as a houseplant, Echeveria purpusorum needs very little water in a bright sunny aspect and no water at all in winter. The substrate should be free-draining with plenty of grit or gravel.
