Ricinus communis 'Carmencita' is a tall, vigourous cultivar of the Castor Oil Plant with red stems, dark maroon foliage, small pale creamy-yellow flowers and large bright red seed pods. In a normal UK season you can expect it to grow to around 3m putting on a spectacular display of foliage and seed pods. Water and feed it well throughout the summer and it will reward you with a fantastic show of tropical jungle-like growth.

All parts of Ricinus plants are poisonous, particularly the seeds.
