Crinum x powellii 'Album' is the choice white-flowering form of Crinum x powellii, the cross between Crinum bulbispermum, the Orange River lily and Crinum moorei, the Natal Lily. It has large fragrant bell-shaped flowers that are pure white. The foliage is exuberant, exotic and lush but watch out for slug and snails: they enjoy feasting on the leaves.
In the growing season it responds well to frequent watering although a well-drained soil is recommended. Like the pink-flowering form, Crinum x powellii 'Album' will form a thick large clump in time and it requires a large space to accomodate this.
Mulch heavily in winter.
