Pink Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit from Smart Mushrooms. Grow bag contains mycelium for Pleurotus djamor, Pink Oyster mushroom, a premium culinary mushroom with a striking vibrant colour that is hardly ever encountered in the supermarkets as they have a very short shelf-life. Pink Oysters have a meaty texture and are a delicious-tasting gourmet mushroom with a umami flavour that has a hint of seafood or bacon.
Each kit will grow up to 400g of fresh mushrooms in 2-3 flushes with the first flush arriving in as soon as 2 weeks. The flushes have layers of large fruiting bodies with little or no stem. Each kit contains a handy glass spray bottle to keep the mycelium moist. Spray regularly twice a day and while you are waiting swot up on your Oyster mushroom recipes, one of which is included in the kit. Pink Oyster Mushrooms really appreciate warmth but do not place in an airing cupboard or near a radiator.
Full easy-to-follow instructions are included with the kit:

(Day One) Pull the cardboard tab on the front of the box near the base. (Use scissors if necessary)

(Day One) Cut an X in the growbag corner to corner (Try not to cut the mycelium substrate or remove the filter on the bag)

(Day One - Seven) Place box in a spot with some light (not direct sunlight) and spray with water twice a day

(Day Eight - Fourteen) Continue spraying as you watch the mushrooms grow and harvest when the edges start to flatten

Enjoy your delicious mushrooms. After harvesting leave the kit alone for two weeks then dunk in water overnight and start the cycle over again, spraying twice a day
Grows on recycled oak sawdust which can be recycled into your garden soil or garden compost
