Kniphofia 'Ice Queen' is a wonderful Kniphofia cultivar developed by the late Alan Bloom. It has tall upright flowers that start a pale greenish-yellow and then change as they open to a ghostly greenish-white. Absolutely beautiful. More like an ice cream than a red-hot poker.
It flowers throughout the summer and into September and October and on occasion even later and the scapes can reach to 1-5m. Probably the most impressive of all the cool greenish-white Kniphofias.
