Dahlia 'Bishop of Auckland' was developed by Dahlia breeders, J. Van der Linden en Zoon and registered as a cultivar on the Dahlia Register in 2004. It has very intense dark-red coloured flowers with some darker red shading and a characteristic crown of yellow anthers.
