Fritillaria uva-vulpis, Fox's Grape Fritillary has charming pendant bell-shaped flowers which are a very appealing and subtle blend of dusky-purple and bronze tones with yellow tips. A pale greenish shade running down the middle of the outside of the tepals adds to this subtle charm. It is one of the easiest Fritillarias to grow, increasing each year. It does well in full sun or partial shade and requires a rich but well-drained soil.
