Asplenium scolopendrium 'Angustifolia', Narrow Hart's Tongue Fern, is an elegant cultivar of the native Hart's Tongue Fern with long thin fronds - narrower than the type species - and with attractive undulating crimped margins. They are the same rich glossy green - perhap slightly darker - and form a rosette-like clump although it tends to be of a smaller stature than the type species.

Asplenium scolopendrium 'Angustifolia' prefers an alkaline soil and because of this fondness for lime it will do well as a lithophyte growing in the cracks of mortar in stonework. It prefers shade to semi-shade but it will tolerate considerable sun although care should be taken to protect new growth from being scorched in the Spring.
