Description
Arundo donax 'Variegata' is the white-variegated cultivar of the Giant Reed. It grows as tall as Arundo donax and is only marginally less hardy than the type species. It requires a warm sunny aspect and likes its roots moist. The foliage dies back in autumn and can be left on the plant to give it extra protection throughout the winter. In Spring, cut back the old growth to invigorate and stimulate growth in the new shoots.
