Ligularia dentata 'Desdemona' is an exceptional cultivar of Ligularia dentata with large rounded foliage, finely-toothed on the margins and having purplish green colouration with deep purple-magenta on the undersides. Tall racemes of orange-yellow daisy-like flowers are borne in the summer.
Ligularia dentata 'Desdemona' thrives in a moist humus-rich deeply-dug soil and grows best in the shade where summer heat is unlikely to cause it to wilt. Perfect as a water-marginal along with Rodgersias or Rheums.
