Lilium henryi, Henry's Lily was first collected in July 1887 by Augustine Henry on the summit of Moji Shan, the pyramid-shaped hill on the western bank of the Yangste that dominates the port of Yichang in Hubei, Central China. It is a splendid species lily, with light orange reflexed tepals spotted with dark maroon flecks and whiskered with prominent papillae that give it a distinctive and charming character.

It prefers a fertile moist neutral soil and semi-shade although it does well in alkaline substrates and tolerates full sun in most localities in the UK. Very easy to grow. Recommended.
